Lifestyle Sessions: Capturing your Joy

Since becoming a mama just a short three months ago, I have realized what I enjoy the most about photography.  My passion lies in the rhythm of our daily life.  Since Liam was born, I have been documenting his changing features, his new skills, his sweet baby rolls and newly found smile.  I have found Joy in watching my husband become a father, and documenting that.  I don’t crave set up, posed portraits.  I want to document our everyday and what that entails.  I want to remember our joy, our passions and how one day flows into the next.

Moving into 2015, I want to embrace this style of photography and offer lifestyle sessions to my clients.  I want to document the cute little toes hanging off the end of the high chair.  The smile that lights up your baby’s face when you engage with them.  The spark between you and your spouse as you look at all the beauty your life as to offer.  I want to capture the joyful and real moments of your everyday.  The way his hair is perfectly tangled upon waking, the soft spot she fits so perfectly into your arms, the perfect concentration he has while driving his trains.

This is the type of photography that is true to my heart.  I want to give you images that you look back at and remember all the details of this time in your life.  I want to create keepsakes of your life with your children that are honest and beautifully you.  I plan to end each session with some posed portraits, once everyone is relaxed and comfortable.  The goal is to capture your connections and love for one another.

Beginning this February, I am so pleased to be offering Lifestyle Sessions:  Capturing your Joy.  Please email me at:  bethanyhuckins@gmail.com to inquire.  The session fee will be $300, which will include a two hour shoot, my time (travel, shooting, editing) and a cd with artistically edited photos for you to print as you wish.  I will be taking on a limited number of these, as I plan to spend more time with my family this year.
Some idea's for these sessions include:
*making breakfast together, followed by playtime & reading
*sledding followed by hot cocoa, stories and games
*crafts & a family walk
*morning chores followed by baking cookies
*a trip to the library
*building a couch fort, playing hide & seek, eating lunch

I will be offering these sessions from February through April, at which point I will offer my outdoor sessions as well.

To showcase this type of photography, i spent a morning with the Gregg family at their home.  Thank you so much for letting me follow you around and capture what Saturday morning means in your home.
